About Me

I didn't always listen to audiobooks.

In April, I started a new job 45 miles from my house. This is ironic because one of the reasons we moved to Illinois was to find a shorter commute -- after years of the bridge-and-tunnel life of NJ/NYC. And since I'm at the wheel, I can't safely absorb myself in a novel like I did then. The solution: I hit the library every weekend and grab three audiobooks at a time.

I'm new to this audiobook world, but I'm quickly catching up on what makes a good one. And I've found that I'm willing to go outside my favorite genres, venturing more often into non-fiction and adult literature. Though, young adult paranormal romance continues to be my personal sweet spot. And I'm in constant search of a great first kiss -- in writing.

As for me, I have a journalism degree and worked as an editor for several NYC-based magazines until I was seduced by the web's instant gratification. So, now I'm project managing all sorts of website builds and trying to sneak in some writing on the side.

  1. Can I bounce my audiobook off of you?

It's the story of a struggling artist who gets a lifetime commission, but discovers his perfect patron has ulterior motives. It's a very different, fast paced and fun listen.

It's free on Spotify, Soundcloud and Youtube. Also available on Audible and iTunes. Reviews and more info here: http://artifice-book.com
